You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
eleanor roosevelt
Thank you Eleanor for saying this so well.
This is what I want to do with this team. To help you all find your new limits.
If I do not help you find that new limit, then I am just a baby sitter. I don’t want to be a babysitter.
I want to be a coach, coaching a group of youth who are not scared to face their fears. A group of youth who find their courage to challenge themselves.
If I only let you do what you want to do and never what scares you, or what you think is hard, then I am not doing my job.
I do not want to be a baby sitter, I want to be a coach.
On another note:
Thank you to all of you who raced the crit this weekend. We brought home 4 state championships and 5 podiums.
Ana 13-14 state champ
Zayk 10-12 State Champ
Madison 15-16 state champ
Genea 17-18 state Champ.
Training Plan:
This is a week 2 in a build cycle. We are continuing to get ready for Whiskey and Gila.
Please remember that your attendance and strong effort are what will allow you to race in these races. If your attendance is poor or your effort is poor please be ready to potentially not ride in these races. These are opportunities not rights.

Believe in your ability to be great.
Due to AZ Merit testing and other school activities, I may not be able to attend all practices for this week and potentially the next. Thank You.
I will do 4:30 mountain biking tomorrow
Chuck and I can help with practice in Thursday and Sunday.
Coach Matt Jones and I are planning to be at 3:45 MTB practice today (Wednesday)
I cannot make practice today but I will do the practice on my own
I will not be able to lead Thursday, or ride at all until my shoulder and wrist heal.
Sounds like a full week I’m ready to go back in my bike
