This is for all middle school riders. Every one of you, Grupo or Grupito is invited and I hope to have you all attend this Sunday.
Please read carefully below and let us know if you plan on racing. I, Ignacio, heavily encourage all to try and really hope you do so. Even if you are not sure, SHOW up this Sunday and see what you think.
From Coach Morgan:
We have an exciting opportunity to have all the Grupito and Grupo riders that are in middle school (grades 6-8), to participate in Arizona High School Cycling League mountain bike race series. This is the first year the league is including middle school races for some (3) of the events. Information for the middle school program is here: Middle School Program of AHSCL. Please read the information on these links and talk to you rider about their interest in participating. Do not try to register at this point! We will send more information about registration soon. I just need you and your rider to decide if you are interested and committed to participating in the ASHCL series and to RSVP to me as soon as possible. The first race (for us) is in less than three weeks. We are going to have a lot more planning to do, but for now, if you have a rider in middle school, email me their decision. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help with this decision.
Riders that decide to participate in the race series are encouraged to join me (Coach Morgan) for a training ride (simulated race) this Sunday, Sep.11th.
Ride information:
Meet at the clubhouse at 8am. Be sure to bring everything you need for riding. Helmet, closed toe shoes, sunnies, gloves, plenty of water, snack, etc.
We will ride from the clubhouse to trailhead at 8:30am. Our practice course for these races is going to be the “36th St. short track”.
We should be back to the clubhouse around noon.
***We will be training with some of the el Grupo middle school riders.***
Parents are welcome to join us. I ask that you let me know before hand if you’ll be joining us.
Thanks, Coach Morgan
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make it Sunday, but I had a softball tournament and had to wake up early Saturday and Sunday so I forgot to comment.
