Tuesday, May 30th: Cross Training & Healthy Relationships Workshop

7am – 9am – Cross Training Workout – Crossfit Team Relay Race!!

We are going to kick-start our cross training with a FUN workout over at our new neighbors – Milo CrossFit. Meet at clubhouse at 7am! We will head over together.

We will have healthy snacks back at the clubhouse so we can all recover and focus for the following workshop/discussion.

10am- 11am–  We have asked Planned Parenthood to come in to facilitate their “Healthy Relationships” workshop. This is optional, but strongly encouraged for all youth riders and coaches. We can all learn how to be better teammates and people through this.

Objectives:  As a result of this presentation, participants will:

  • Be able to examine their own values, expectations, and needs in a relationship.
  • Be able to recognize the qualities of a mature and healthy relationship and the importance of good communication, respect, and personal boundaries.
  • Be able to think about how their own life experiences shape the relationships they create.
  • Be able to identify warning signs of unhealthy relationships.

(Note:  This presentation is intended for audiences in 7th grade or older and groups of between 10-30 people.)

Thursday, June 1st – 10am – 12pm – CLUBHOUSE CLEAN UP!! We need all hands on deck to get the place in order before bike camp.

Friday, June 2nd – Cross Training & Summer Bike Camp meeting! 3pm-6pm. Another morning to sleep in but lets get our cross training workout in and plan for bike camp expectations. If you will be working bike camp, you NEED to be at this.

Saturday, June 3rd – Following morning rides, we will have Dr. Chris Cox coming in to talk with us about our own nutrition and help us improve upon the nutrition lessons we offer to summer bike camp participants. 10am – 11:30am

This is A LOT in short while, but you have had the last 3 weeks off. And this is all good stuff!

The Summer Schedule posted earlier begins the week of June 5 in sync with Summer Bike Camps.

I will be out of town this weekend but will try to get to the party on Monday, next week I will be attending a camp at the U of A.

I will not be able to stay the whole party on Monday, I will have to leave around 6:00, after the presentation. I apologize for this, I have another event that I have to be at and they asked weeks in advance for me to be at.
