Thank you team, coaches and parents. These have been a very busy last few weeks. I can’t thank you all enough for putting the time in.

The recent results I think prove it has all been worth it. It takes a lot of courage and commitment to do well and those lessons transfer to all aspects of life. Thank you to all.

There is quite the laundry list of results from this past weekend, I will note a few:

Eve Yockey won her first bike race. The mountain bike race at White Tank

Maddy and Brayden went 1, 2 in their field.

Sam Bevier won his bike race.

Lily crushed San Dimas, 2nd GC, third in the Time trial, third in the Road Race and she WON the crit.

Ethan won the San Dimas Crit and was second GC for 17-18 boys.

Quinn had his best bike race(s) ever.

All kids who raced in San Dimas showed a TON of courage. Bravo to all!

And those are only the podium placings. As you all know every kid who raced this weekend has a beautiful story to tell about how hard they worked and tried. I am super proud of all and can say that at San Dimas every kid gave an effort that they should be proud of.

BIG NEWS ALERT!!

With the win in the Crit this weekend and his other results from this year, Ethan Overson has been asked to join TEAM USA in Europe and to represent USA at the Peace Race. The biggest Nations Cup race of the year. Please, if you see him, give him all the best. Ethan is now the second rider in Grupo history to make the team for this very prestigious race.

With so much that has gone on, we are going to take this weekend off from traveling and racing. Not from riding and training and having fun, but from racing and traveling.

I noticed that there is no C team ride listed for Saturday. So I would like to know which ride I will be doing.

I was wondering if there is volunteering on Friday, even though school is out?

  3. Camilla

would I also be going all the way around on the shootout as well?

I will not be able to go to practice today (Tuesday) because I am sick. I think I will be better for practice on Thursday, though. But about the weekend, I have the same question as Camilla. Since this is our second shootout, do you want us to go all the way around?
    Thank you
