So. I’ve heard from volunteer coaches and parents alike, that the old-man shootout is harder than normal. That’s unfortunate because
Here’s your chance for a good ride tomorrow. Show up at 6:00am, leave at 6:30am for the B-ride. The more people that show up, the faster the ride will be. If you’ve been getting dropped on the old-man the last few weeks, heres an opportunity for you to have a super solid Saturday ride.
HOWEVER, LET THIS BE A WARNING: If you’re killing everyone on the B-ride, OR if you’re making it around on the shootout, OR if you’ve been doing the big-boy for months, you’re not allowed to downgrade. No old-man shootout ‘just because you feel like it.’ That’s how we get the community upset with us for pushing the pace on group rides. Instead, learn to ride well and hide in the group on the shootout.
SO. High schoolers who regularly do the old-man: you’re welcome on the B-ride. Middle schoolers: you’re required to do the B-ride.
Those who typically do the B-ride or are new, please show up at 6:00am, leaving at 6:30am.
