Tell me why you like to ride your bike.

It’s fun. It’s a really good workout and I’ve been doing it just about as long as I can remember.

Can you tell me about the first time you rode with El Grupo?

We did a VO2 max ride, which was really hard for the first time! It pushed me, I smiled but it was tough.

Do you notice any difference in skills and character now?

Oh yeah! Big difference. I was more shy before but I’ve also gotten stronger- It’s ridiculous. I have more confidence.

How does El Grupo challenge you?

It challenges you in a really good way. You will be pushed to your limits and sometimes you want to puke, but it makes you stronger.

What are your goals with El Grupo?

I want to do really well in the 24 hour race in two weeks. I also want to see how well I can improve in crit racing because I don’t like that as much.

In your time with El Grupo, what are three things you’ve gotten out of it?

Strength, More Friends and Endurance

How do you describe El Grupo to your friends?

It’s a biking team that pushes you and it’s really fun. There’s a lot of awesome people.

How do you overcome challenges?

My motto is: Shut up, you’re doing it anyway.
