Job Opening

El Grupo Youth Cycling is seeking a Junior Program Manager. This individual is responsible for the management and coordination of all El Grupo Junior Programs, serving youth ages 7 – 13. This leader serves as the Head Coach of our El Grupito programing, while providing outstanding administrative and programming support to our Summer Bike Club, Manzo Bike Club, Davis Bike Club, and Uno a Uno program. The Junior Program Manager must value diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition, he/she/they must be highly organized, a strong communicator, have competent bike skills and the ability to teach those skills to youth. BIPC Level 1 certification (or equivalent) is required.  This is a full-time 35-40 hour per week position which includes work on weekends. El Grupo Youth Cycling is also looking for volunteer and paid coaches for all of our programs working with youth aged 7–13 and 13-18. Coaches must be youth-oriented, positive, respectful riders who have competent bike skills and the ability to monitor young cyclists while riding in a group. The schedule varies but is typically M-Th 3:30-6:30 PM and occasional Saturdays. Please send a letter of interest and resume to: admin@elgrupocycling.org. Our Goals

El Grupo provides youth with bike-centered experiences that are both fun and challenging. We embrace all forms of cycling from road and mountain bike racing to bicycle touring and daily commuting. Through the use of bicycles, El Grupo’s goals are to:

  • Encourage youth to become life-long bike enthusiasts
  • Teach responsibility, accountability, and leadership skills
  • Empower youth to set and achieve personal and community goals
  • Educate and inspire youth to overcome obstacles
  • Make riding bikes safe, fun, accessible, and cool
