The Fall Fondo was adapted from the Italian version of a Gran Fondo. Gran Fondo is an Italian term that loosely translates to “Big Ride.” Gran Fondos are typically mass participation cycling events that have enjoyed popularity worldwide. Food, drinks, entertainment and a raffle/auction are always part of a Fondo and 2025’s event will be no exception. After the ride, participants will enjoy a meal together at the El Grupo Clubhouse, share stories about their ride, and interact with our youth & their families while enjoying music, prizes and a raffle to raise additional funds for our programming.

el Grupo empowers youth through bicycles. Through our in- and afterschool programs, youth ages 5 - 18 years old develop both bike and life skills. The programs use bicycles as a vehicle, literally and figuratively, to teach self-trust, communication skills, and goal-setting through positive youth development. Because of El Grupo, youth not only learn how to navigate streets - they learn how to effectively navigate the world.
